80 % less plastic material
The new paper cartridge
The alternative to plastic cartridges
Conventional cartridges for sealants and adhesives cannot be recycled after use. Inevitably they will end up being burned because of the residues in the plastic body. Combustion of plastic waste produces three times more CO2 than the initial manufacturing!
An additional problem: Illegal dumping caused by extensive export of plastic waste and the concomitant environmental pollution like the increasing pollution of the oceans through plastic particles.
Our solution: The Pronova paper cartridge.
The focus of our research and development was to avoid plastic waste through a significant reduction of plastic by 80 %. The cartridge body is made of 100 % paper. The product itself is perfectly protected by an ultra thin high-tech aluminum foil. The new system reliably prevents soiling of the cartridge body which can therefore enter the paper materials recycling after use.
The proportion of components that cannot be recycled has thus been substantially minimized. And that's not all: our Pronova paper cartridge produces 53 % less CO2-Emissions in the manufacturing process than a standard PE cartridge.
No compromises. Top product quality and user friendliness.
The new Pronova cardboard cartridge offers many advantages without sacrificing durability, product quality or user convenience. The products are easy to use with a standard cartridge gun; there are no disadvantages compared to conventional plastic cartridges.
Two-time award winner 2024
At the Hardware Fair 2024 in Cologne, Germany the Pronova cardboard cartridge received two awards: one for product innovation EISENaward 2024 another in the category BEST OF ECO of BHB-BranchenAward.
Do the test, see for yourself, be convinced. You , too will be excited.
Step 1
Lift lid and nozzle. Slightly tip paper body so the aluminum tube foil extends a bit from the body.
Step 2
Using a pair of scissors or a sharp cutter knife cut the tube foil open just below the closure/knot. Let the tube foil glide back into the body.
Step 3
Place the lid back onto the body and fasten the nozzle. The paper cartridge is ready for use.
Step 4
Cut the nozzle to the desired joint width, insert the paper cartridge into the gun and start use.
Our tip
To store a partially used cartridge simply close the tube foil and the residual product by closing it air tight. To reuse the lid unscrew the nozzle after use and dispose of it in the residual waste. The remaining product residues must harden completely and can then easily be removed mechanically. Spare nozzles are commercially available.
Approriate waste management
The clean cartridge body goes into the paper collection bin for recycling. After removing hardened product residues lid and nozzle can be recycled via plastic materials recycling. Lids and nozzles containing product residues as well as the tube foil with residues will be disposed of in the residual materials cycle.
